Yesterday I took a trip to IKEA by "myself"! If you've ever been to IKEA then you know about their god-awful carts...you know the ones that always want to drift right, and your shifting your body weight to the left just to attempt stolling in a straight line. It never fails, you leave with your knees aching and you'r bound to have bumped into something or someone as maneuver their huge warehouse. Yeah, I hate those things and try to avoid needing one when we go.
I just needed an easel for the store, so I wasn't planning on grabbing a cart. I decided to meandor through the whole store, something I can't do when I have all three kids. Every time I passed a mirror and caught a glimpse of Penelope in the carrier I swooned, she's just so damn cute!
So once I got to the kids section I grabbed my easel and a roll of paper. As I'm heading toward the elevator I was overcome by an incredible sense of gratitude for all that babywearing allows me to accomplish! So impressed I couldn't help but be one of THOSE people snapping shots of myself in front of their mirror display.
Seriously how awesome is having your baby contently, safely snuggled to your chest while you have arms free to grab what you need.
Check me out carrying my big-ass diaper bag, baby, easel and roll of paper!
